What is Carvia?
Short answer
Carvia is an Estonian vehicle marketplace that helps you create a listing for free and clearly shows whether a vehicle has received a source-backed background check. Paid promotion does not grant a verification badge.
How is Carvia different from a standard listing portal?
On a standard portal it can be difficult to distinguish a seller’s claim from official data. Carvia labels sources and keeps listing quality, paid visibility and vehicle verification separate.
A free listing may include seller-entered or automatically prepared information. A verification badge appears only after a real registry query.
What Carvia AI does
- Helps organise technical data using a registration number or VIN
- Detects equipment and possible visible damage in photos
- Compares the listing price with similar vehicles on the market
- Flags conflicts, for example when photos do not match declared equipment
- Distinguishes an automated finding, a seller’s statement and an official source
What Carvia AI does not do
Carvia does not replace a physical technical inspection or test drive. AI checks whether data is consistent but cannot see the internal condition of the engine, welds or hidden damage. Always inspect the car or ask an independent specialist to do so before buying.
Frequently asked questions
Is Carvia data official registry data?
The registry integration is under development until the Transpordiamet agreement is signed. Until then, registry fields are clearly labelled as demo data and are not presented as official registry data.
Is adding a listing free?
Yes. A standard user can add a listing for free.
What does the confidence percentage on a listing mean?
It shows how confident the system is in a field value based on its source: registry data is the strongest, equipment detected from a photo is less certain and seller-entered information is unverified.
